Need for Shareware Business

Shareware is about a marketing method, and not a business model. A number of very commercially successful, very profitable, and very prudent and practical software companies successfully use the shareware technique to get their product into the hands of prospective users for making profits.
The concept of shareware is shrouded in misconception. It is simply a kind of try-before-you-buy model that benefits the consumer. Because of its ability to build buyers confidence, the market gets expanded and the sellers benefit from selling more products.
It would not be correct to assume that the concept of shareware is outdated because it is a small-scale market. Many big firms use this method. They rarely use the word ‘shareware’ on their websites but trial versions are available with them and that is exactly what the shareware model is.
Shareware operators build trust with their customers first. They offer their potential customers the option of trying their products first before paying for it. This strategy works effectively because of tough competition in the market. In case one player does not offer this option to the potential customers, the competitor might do that and grab the market.
Shareware is indeed a marketing method and definitely not a giveaway scheme. As a marketing scheme there is plenty of evidence that it does work. The morale of this marketing strategy is that if you bold and imaginative enough to use shareware to convert leads into sales, there is plenty of money in this business. So here is an opportunity to grab this business opportunity and make money.
